PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an update system or the like for a blog obtained by combining a static characteristic excellent in a blog recording characteristic with advantages of a dynamic characteristic having real time of a messenger, e-mail or the like. SOLUTION: In the blog update system, a messenger server 70 is provided with a user identifying means 72 for identifying a user who transmits status change information, a retrieving means 73 for retrieving a blog server 80 storing blogs of users, and a transmitting means 74 for transmitting to the blog server 80 the status change information and information of the identified user, and the blog server 80 is provided with a blog database identifying means 84 for identifying a blog database tied to a user by received user's information, and a blog storing means 80a for storing the status change information as well as time information in the identified blog database.
