PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve practicality by enlarging a measurement limit related to a flow rate using ellipsoid as the reflection surface of ultrasonic beams. SOLUTION: The reflection surface of an ultrasonic reflector 14 is set to be one portion of the ellipsoid, and ultrasonic transceivers 12, 13 are arranged at the positions of two focuses A, B of the ellipsoid. The ultrasonic beams are not greatly affected by the flow rate of gas, based on the properties of the focus of an ellipse, and ultrasonic beams transmitted from the ultrasonic transceiver 12 at a transmission side are propagated to the ultrasonic transceiver 13 at a reception side.
