PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of preventing a coolant leaked out via sa mechanical seal from infiltrating into a rolling bearing. SOLUTION: This water pump has a fixed member 20 having a fixed flange 21 and a fixed cylinder part 22, an impeller 60 arranged in a water chamber 11 of a housing 10, a rotary member 50 having a rotary cylinder shaft 51, a rotary flange 52 and a pulley 53, the rolling bearing 31 arranged between the fixed cylinder part 22 and the pulley 53, and the mechanical seal 40 arranged between the fixed cylinder part 22 and the rotary cylinder shaft 51, A service hole 54 capable of inserting a tool for pressing an inner ring 32 in an outer peripheral surface of the fixed cylinder part 22, is formed in the rotary flange 52. A water repellent processing surface 17 for discharging the leaked-out coolant from the service hole 54 by repelling water, is arranged on at least an inner surface of the rotary flange 52 and an outer peripheral surface of the rotary cylinder shaft 22 of a surface forming a wall surface of an inside space S between the mechanical seal 40, the rolling bearing 30 and the rotary flange 52.
