PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique on a binding tool, which can obtain a more compact binding tool than ever and, in addition, can make a space formed between the tips of rings larger than ever. SOLUTION: This binding tool is connected with the cover of a file body and equipped with ring parts 2, each of which has a ring 21 and a ring 22 forming a closed ring posture for filing documents or the like by bringing the tips of the ring 21 and of the ring 22 into contact with each other and changing into an open posture for making the filing the documents or the like possible by separating the tips from each other, and a board part 3, which is connected with the basic end of the ring part and change the ring part 2 between the closed ring posture and the open ring posture by pivoting under the condition that the board part 3 makes the changing of the ring part 2 possible between the closed ring posture and the open ring posture through pivoting about pivoting shaft parts provided inside from the lateral outside end parts of the board part 3.
