PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus enhanced in electromagnetic wave shielding capacity and capable of forming the line image of a conductive pattern for mass-producing an electromagnetic shielding material high in light transmittance, and a coating method. SOLUTION: Coating is applied to one line of a plurality of lines, which constitute the line image of the conductive pattern by one nozzle of a plurality of the nozzles of a discharge head for discharging liquid droplets to form the line image free from disconnection.
