PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeler capable of efficiently peeling only the outer skin of a taro, leaving the inner skin layer. SOLUTION: The peeler includes a cutting part 1 which has a cutting edge with a number of projecting stripe parts 11 arranged at appropriate intervals. The front edge top of each projecting stripe part is rectangularly formed as a tooth 13. The cutting surface is formed as a shallow-curved surface, dented at the center in the direction orthogonally crossing the direction of the edges of the projecting stripe parts 11 or parallel to the direction, or in both directions.
