The invention provides a dressing stone not necessitating any coating layer. A dressing stone holding plural abrasive grains on the surface, wherein the abrasive grains are held by a glass-ceramic composite (1) consisting substantially of glass or crystallized glass and ceramic grains, the glass-ceramic composite (1) being one produced by embedding plural abrasive grains in the surface of a green sheet containing a glass-ceramic composition consisting substantially of a glass powder and a ceramic powder to form a green sheet provided with plural abrasive grains protruding convex from the surface and then firing the thus obtained green sheet.
