A rear view system is provided to move a rear view camera unit in an angle for a direction of reverse when a transmission is set in reverse by attaching a steering angle sensor on a steering system, thereby preventing collision between a vehicle and obstacles on the ground. A rear view system comprises a rear view camera unit(10), a display unit(30), a steering sensor unit(40), a reverse gear sensor unit(50), a camera drive unit(20), a control unit(60), and a power supply unit(90). The rear view camera unit, attached to the rear of a vehicle, is monitoring rear view when a transmission is set in reverse. The display unit displays images taken by the rear view camera unit. The steering sensor unit is installed on a steering system of the vehicle to sense steering angle of the vehicle. The reverse gear sensor unit is installed on a transmission to sense the reverse gear position of a gear shift lever. The camera drive unit drives the rear view camera unit to vary its shooting angle, and is rotated at a predetermined angle set for angle of rotation of a wheel driven by the steering system, in a direction of reverse. The control unit controls the camera drive unit at a predetermined range in a direction of reverse according to the steering angle sensed by the steering sensor unit. The power supply unit supplies power to the rear view camera unit, the camera drive unit, the display unit, the steering sensor unit, and the control unit.
