Disclosed is a polyarylene sulfide film for diaphragms of acoustic devices which is excellent in heat resistance, formability and acoustic characteristics. The polyarylene sulfide film is also excellent in thermal formability. Specifically disclosed is a polyarylene sulfide film having an elongation at break of not less than 100% and not more than 250% in one of the longitudinal direction and the width direction of the film, and a Young's modulus of not less than 1.5 GPa and less than 4 GPa in one of the longitudinal direction and the width direction of the film.
