<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device having a structure in which a peripheral connector of a bag body is hard to be affected by high temperature gas ejected from a gas ejection port of an inflator. <P>SOLUTION: The side airbag device comprises the bag body 20, an inflator assembly 40, and an auxiliary member 60. The bag body 20 is inflated and developed between a vehicular seat and a body side portion with gas ejected from the gas ejection port 42, and streamlined by the auxiliary member 60 according to the impact from the vehicle side. In the side airbag device, the auxiliary member 60 is sewn together with the bag body 20 using part of the peripheral connector 27, and an auxiliary connector 65 at a lower side is installed between a fixing portion (72) for the bag body 20 of the auxiliary member 60 and the gas injection port 42 as a specified auxiliary connector. By employing this constitution, the specified auxiliary connector (the auxiliary connector 65) receives the gas from the gas ejection port 42, and the fixing portion (portion 72 to be sewn together) relieves the influence affected from the high temperature gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
