<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of removing a pollutant deposited on a conveying belt, in particular, a dry pollutant which is formed by drying a liquid such as ink mist while the cleaning capacity of a cleaning unit is maintained in a constant state. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording device comprises a paper feed unit 10, an image recording unit 30 having a recording head part 31 and an image recording medium conveying unit 41, and a paper discharge unit 70. The image recording medium conveying unit 41 has a cleaning unit 45 having a cleaning member 49 having the hardness lower than that of a conveying belt 42. The cleaning member 49 is abutted on the conveying belt 42, and cleans the conveying belt 42 by removing ink scum on the conveying belt 42 while grinding off the cleaning member 49 itself. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
