<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate composite element having high recording/reproducing performance while maintaining a compact and inexpensive structure, and also to provide an optical information recording/reproducing device using the plate composite element. <P>SOLUTION: The plate composite element is constructed by stacking 1/4 wavelength plates on the luminous flux incident side surface of a polarized beam splitter, the optical axes of the 1/4 wavelength plates are set parallel to the polarized surface of an S-polarized surface with respect to the polarized beam splitter of an incident luminous flux, and inclined by 45° with respect to the polarized surface of a P-polarized light with respect to the polarized beam splitter of a reflected luminous flux. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
