PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genuineness discernible printed matter, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The genuineness discernible printed matter is constituted by printing a first image on the front face of a base material and printing a second image on the first image, the first image has a region where L* is 90 or more in L*a*b* color showing system when measured by a color difference meter in at least a part of the same, and the second image has a line image printed so as to have lift using a translucent ink having mirror gloss or a translucent ink containing a pigment having planar orientation.
