PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an indoor unit 12a itself to confirm the installed position of the indoor unit 12a of an air conditioner 11a provided with an air direction changing blade 25 having a wider range of operation area 32 than a conventional one. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with a control means for controlling the indoor unit. The control means is provided with an indoor unit installed situation determining means for determining the installed situation of the indoor unit, and a starting means for operating the indoor unit installed situation determining means. A control device is provided with a confirmation stop means for stopping the operation of the indoor unit installed situation determining means under the instructions of the starting means when the indoor unit installed situation determining means determines that the installed state of the indoor unit is normal.
