[Also in Group XXXV] In a pressure transducer, the tension in a wire 120 is varied by the deflection of a diaphragm 110 to which the wire is attached by a collet 116. The wire vibrates between the poles of a magnet 138 at a frequency determined by an input current through a connection 136 from a bridge (see Group XXXV) which is balanced when the frequency to which the vibrating wire is tuned, by deflection of the diaphragm, is equal to the input frequency of the bridge.</p> |
