PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane switch, and a self-running moving body including the same, the membrane switch being attached to a substantially cylindrical outer circumferential surface of the moving body, capable of, when obstacles, etc., contact a side surface of the moving body at respective positions from substantially the same direction, making constant an outer force required to become an ON state irrespective of the contacting position. SOLUTION: The membrane switch 1 is provided with an outer electrode 10, an inner electrode 20 disposed to be opposed to the outer electrode 10, and a space 30 disposed between the outer electrode 10 and the inner electrode 20. The spacer 30 has a plurality of openings 32, 33 arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction. The openings gradually decrease in opening area toward the center portion with respect to the longitudinal direction and gradually increase in opening area toward both end portions.
