PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge in which spring pressure of a torsion coil spring is kept appropriately and the torsion coil spring is hardly separated even when external impact is applied in addition to assembling error or the like. SOLUTION: A spring lock part 19 for locking the first arm part 17b of the torsion coil spring 17 is provided inside the coupling piece 12 of the front cover 6, a receiving part 20 for receiving a second arm part 17c of the torsion coil spring 17 is provided outside the transverse side wall 15 of the main body case 2. The receiving part 20 has a regulating groove 25 extending in the vertical direction and a receiving rib 26 extending in the vertical direction. A curvature part 23 curved to the regulating groove 25 side on the end side of the second arm part 17c of the torsion coil spring 17 and the vicinity of the edge side of the second arm part 17c of the torsion coil spring 17 is received by the inner face of the regulating groove 25.
