PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home electric appliance storage apparatus by which a home electric appliance is operated kept in the storage apparatus and noise is reduced by varying air exhaust performance according to the amount of vapor of the home electric appliance in a cabinet. SOLUTION: A home electric appliance storage portion 3 whose front surface is opened stores a home electric appliance 2 in a cabinet 1. The storage portion 3 includes an air exhaust device 6 that has an exhaust air path 10 leading from the home electric appliances storage portion 3 to the front side of the cabinet 1 and incorporating a fan 8. The fan 8 is controlled by a controller 15 and the amount of vapor from the home electric appliances 2 is detected by a temperature detecting means 13. The controller 15 drives the fan 8 at low revolutions when the temperature (vapor content) detected by the temperature detecting means 13 is higher than a first criterion. The controller 15 drives the fan 8 at high revolutions when the temperature is higher than a second criterion which is higher than the first criterion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
