PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vaporizer that can improve merchantability without deteriorating vaporization capability. SOLUTION: The vaporizer 1 includes a container 2 made of transparent glass, wherein this container 2 has a bottom surface 3, a peripheral surface, 4 and a neck 5 including an opening 5a. The periphery 4 is subjected to embossing. Inside the container 2, there is stored a chemical fluid 15 for producing a prescribed chemical effect through vaporization, such as an aromatic, deodorant, fungicide, insecticide, with a liquid absorbing wick 11 soaked in the chemical fluid 15. Further, in the container 2, a plurality of gelatinized bodies 16 are stored together with the chemical fluid 15 and the gelatinized bodies 16 are highly water-absorbent synthetic resin.
