The hydraulic cam follower (1), at an internal combustion motor, has a pot-shaped housing (2) with at least one cam starter (4) at the base (3). The housing has two guides (5) for axial pistons (6), with their outer ends (7) in contact with their respective valve push rods. The inner end bases (8), at the housing, have a non-return valve (9). The hydraulic fluid is in a high pressure zone (10) under the base and a supply zone (11) over the base. The outer mantle (12) has at least one opening (13) for the hydraulic fluid feed to the supply zone.
