The device has a visualization module for producing visualized representation of transformed series data and visualized representation of classification decision and/or annotation facts of signal classifiers. Two level classifier modules produce visualized representation of sub-symbolic signatures and representation of level classifiers, for classification and/or annotation of time series data, respectively. The modules are formed in order to manufacture and use the signal classifiers in a parameter modified knowledge discovery in databases process. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing level classifiers for an event in a time series (2) a method for extraction of trifold level classifier signature (3) a method for extraction of an amount of symbolic signatures for an event class of signals (4) a computer program with a program code for performing a method for manufacturing and using signal classifiers.
