A heat storage system for a vehicle, in which an engine coolant circulation circuit for connecting an engine (ENG) and a heater core (30) of an air conditioning unit is provided with a heat storage device (S) in which the engine coolant is stored and is allowed to flow. The heat storage device (S) has an oil storage layer (5) between a hot water storage layer (1) and a side-face vacuum heat insulation layer (5). The oil storage layer (5) allows transmission oil, which is a heat medium different from the engine coolant, to be stored and to flow in it.
