PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bulb capable of suppressing the generation of dark spots or illuminance irregularities in a portable electric lamp, irradiating an object with less dark spots or illuminance irregularities in a wide range without damaging illuminance and not easily generating the dark spots or the illuminance irregularities even in a short distance. SOLUTION: The electric bulb 1 comprises a spherical glass bulb 3 having a filament coil 2 in the inside and a base 4 for holding the glass bulb 3. The glass bulb 3 has a spherical shape, and has a bombshell shape to put it concretely. On the distal end on the opposite side of the base 4 of the glass bulb 3, a hemisphere-like lens 6 is provided. In a prescribed area from the side of the base 4 to the distal end of the surface of the glass bulb 3, a rugged surface of a satin finish pattern is formed as a light diffusion layer 5. Then, in an area between the light diffusion layer 5 and the lens 6 at the distal end, a transparent part 7 where the light diffusion layer 5 is not formed is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
