PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic carrier and its control method for automatically correcting any error during traveling to achieve autonomous traveling without using any external sensor. SOLUTION: The moving quantity of each driving unit is calculated during its movement on a route calculated from an input via-point, and the moving quantity of a whole loading platform is calculated by averaging the moving quantity, and when the moving quantity of the loading platform is within an allowable range, the current location of each driving unit is calculated from the moving quantity of the loading platform, and when the moving quantity of the loading platform is beyond an allowable range, the mean value other than the driving unit with an error is defined as the moving quantity of the loading platform so that the current location of each driving unit can be calculated.
