PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast system, along with a broadcast program management method, capable of preventing, at low cost, incapability in recording a program. SOLUTION: An HD recording server 10 converts a recording content of HD base band signal to a data file of 100Mbps in MPEG2 format, and records the data file in an HD storage 1 as a broadcast content. An SD recording server 11 converts the recording content of SD base band signal to a data file of 20Mbps in MPEG2 format, and records the data file in an SD storage 2 as a standby content. A preview encoder 12 converts a recording content of SD base band signal to the data file of 500Kbps in MPEG4 format, and records the data file in a preview storage 3 as a preview content.
