PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy method for preparing peptide which has an ACE inhibitory activity. SOLUTION: The method for preparing peptide comprises: a hydrothermal reaction treatment process which performs a hydrothermal reaction process to a dewatered cake X3; and a separating process which separates a peptide which has an ACE (angiotensin I converting enzyme) inhibitory activity from a hydrothermal reaction process liquid X4 obtained by the hydrothermal reaction treatment process.
