PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusion sheet capable of enlarging a light diffusion angle, which includes a transparent resin layer, having a refractive index different from that of a substrate. SOLUTION: The light diffusion sheet 1 comprises the substrate 2; grooves 3 formed on the substrate 2 substantially with a constant pitch such that long axial directions become parallel to one another; and the transparent resin layer 4, having a refractive index different from that of the substrate 2 embedded in the grooves 3. Furthermore, the pitch of the grooves 3 is 10μm or less, the difference in the refractive indexes, between the substrate 2 and the transparent resin layer 4, is 0.002 or larger and the depth of the grooves 3 is 5μm or more.
