PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit leakage and to prevent lowering of performance by improving floating of sealant in a scroll compressor. SOLUTION: A seal groove 33 is provided in the range shorter than a 360°involute angle of the tip of a lap of either one or both of a fixed scroll 14 and a turning scroll 15 and a tip seal 34 is inserted to a seal groove 33, thereby the tip seal 34 becomes easy to float from the seal groove 33, sealing performance is improved and leakage can be suppressed.
