PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lock device of a cabinet, which can be retrofitted to enhance the security of the existing cabinet, which can exert a lock function by a relatively simple constitution, and which does not deteriorate beauty by virtue of a relative compact size. SOLUTION: Handle boxes 11, 12 and 19-22, which are mounted on the doors 4A, 4B and 8 and drawers 7A-7C of stack rooms 1 and 2, selectively expose or shield handles 5A, 5B, 9A-9D of the stack rooms 1 and 2, and electrically operate. A desk 3 is provided with a card reader 34 which is operated by a user so that ID information on a personal computer 31 etc. and the user himself/herself can be input. The personal computer 31 and respective control units 17 and 24, which are constituted separately from the handle boxes 11, 12 and 19-22, collate the input ID information with preregistered information on the user himself/herself, and control the handle boxes 11, 12 and 19-22 so as to expose the handles 4A, 4B, 8, etc., when both of the pieces of information coincide with each other.
