PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a powder clad obtained by press-fitting powder to a sheet surface, so as to form a powder press-fitted material, successively heating the powder press-fitted material and fusion-bonding the powder to the sheet at high quality and high efficiency. SOLUTION: In the powder clad production line where the surface of a sheet 1 uncoiled from an uncoiler 3 at a fixed rate is press-fitted with powder by a powder rolling mill 4, so as to form a powder press-fitted material 5a, the powder press-fitted material 5a is introduced into a heating furnace 6, and is heated at a fixed temperature, so as to form a powder clad 5 in which the sheet 1 is fusion-bonded with the powder, and the powder clad 5 is cooled, and is thereafter coiled by a coiler 10, a tension gage 14 for measuring the tension of the powder clad 5 is installed on the downstream of the heating furnace 6, and the production line is provided with a tension controller 20 for controlling the coiling tension of the powder clad 5 by the coiler 10 in such a manner that the detected tension 19 by the tension gage 14 is held to a tension set value 21 settled in the width shrinkage of the tolerance by the operations of heating and tension in the heating furnace 6.
