PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for asbestos containment which firmly fixes asbestos adhering to building walls or the like on the building frame, and at the same time, covers the surface to contain it, and a method for effectively coating the coating material. SOLUTION: The coating material comprises an organosiloxane oligomer, a catalyst, a silane compound and a titanium compound, and has a viscosity at 25°C of≤50 mPa s. This coating method comprises a recoating step of contiguously impregnating the asbestos layer with the coating material by airless spraying and thereafter contiguously coating again with a roller brush, and a drying step of drying the coated zone by natural or forced drying.
