A serially arranged axial fan provided with two axial fans arranged in series and having improved air volume characteristics. The serially arranged axial fan has a first impeller (211) for a first axial fan, a flow straightening device (43) connected to the first axial fan along the center axis, and a second impeller (311) for a second axial fan connected to the flow straightening device along the center axis. The flow straightening device (43) applies a swirling component, which flows to the upstream side of the second impeller (311) in the rotation direction (R1), to an airflow generated by the rotation of the first impeller (211). This increases the rotation speed of the second impeller relative to the speed of the airflow entering the second impeller. By this, sufficient energy is given to the airflow by the second impeller, and static energy is increased. Consequently, the serially arranged axial fan can develop high static pressure characteristics. |
