<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solubilizing agent in which polyglycerin fatty acid ester is used and which can be used in foods, medicines and cosmetics and can give a solubilization composition, which disperses an oil-soluble substance minutely in a water phase without using a special emulsifying machine even when a large quantity of the oil-soluble substance is blended and which has high transparency, and to provide foods, medicines and cosmetics in each of which the solubilizing agent is used. <P>SOLUTION: The solubilizing agent is composed of polyglycerin fatty acid ester. A fatty acid constituting the polyglycerin fatty acid ester is composed of one or more saturated fatty acids (a) selected from 8-22C saturated fatty acids and one or more unsaturated fatty acids (b) selected from 16-22C unsaturated fatty acids. The molar ratio ((a)/(b)) of the saturated fatty acids (a) to the unsaturated fatty acids (b) is within 0.2/0.8 to 0.8/0.2.
