<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify configuration of each unit circuit by reducing the total number of transistors. <P>SOLUTION: The driving transistor TDR is interposed between a voltage supply line 17 and an electrooptical element E. A switching element SW diode-connects the driving transistor TDR in a setting period PST. A capacitor element C includes a first electrode E1 connected to a gate of the driving transistor TDR and a second electrode E2 connected to a signal line 15. The setting period PST includes a first period P1 and a second period P2. In the first period P1, a data signal D[j] of the signal line 15 is set at a voltage V0, due to which the voltage of the gate rises and the driving transistor TDR turns to the on state. In the second period P2, the data signal D[j] is set at a data voltage V[i], due to which the voltage complying with the data voltage V[i] is held in the capacitor element C. In a driving period PDR after the lapse of the setting period PST, the electrooptical element E is controlled to the gray scale complying with the voltage held in the capacitor element C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
