<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display wherein simplification of a manufacturing process and enhancement of flexibility of design of an optical sensor element can be attained, to provide a manufacturing method of the liquid crystal display, and to provide an electronic device provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is provided with a TFT element provided in each sub pixel region and performing switching control of driving of the sub pixel region and a TFT element 22 formed on the same layer as the TFT element and performing switching control of the optical sensor element 21 provided in an optical detection region.
