PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing a the sensor which can detect the change of an electric resistance value with sufficient accuracy and the sensor for the rolling bearing even if liquid such as water and a chemical is a fine drip in the state of emulsion which is mingled with grease. SOLUTION: In the rolling bearing, the sensor which detects the change of the electric resistance value by contacting with liquid is attached on the circumference facing a bearing space of a stationary race. The sensor has an inner circumferential face, an outer circumferential face and both ends, extends in a circumferential direction along the circumferential face to the bearing space of the stationary race, and has a discontinuous part in which both the ends approach and face each other at one place. The sensor also comprises a detection part which is arranged on the inner circumference face or the outer circumference face, and in which multiple electrodes different in polarity for detecting changes of electric resistance values are alternately arranged so as to approximate to one another, and terminals for taking out the electric resistance values from the detection part.
