PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new vesicle composition which can stably be compounded with a ceramide compound; to provide a ceramide-containing composition which is excellent in a moisture-retaining effect and in temporal stability and can also be used as an external preparation for skin; and to provide an external preparation for skin, compounded with the ceramide-containing composition. SOLUTION: This vesicle composition is characterized by comprising the following components (a) to (f): (a) an N-acyl-L-glutamic acid, (b) a ceramide compound, (c) a sterol compound, (d) an alkali agent, (e) a polyhydric alcohol, and (f) water.
