PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of outputting a signal which enables an accurate determination as to whether a front end or a rear end of a sheet conveyed in a conveyance path reaches a predetermined position or not. SOLUTION: An ADF 12 has the conveyance path 34 coupling a paper feeding tray 41 to a paper delivery tray 42 through a reading position. A first rear sensor 81 and a second rear sensor 82 are arranged in a curved path part 36 of the conveying path 34. Each of the first and the second rear sensors 81 and 82 has detecting arms 83, 93 and photo-interrupters 84, 94. The detecting arms 83 and 93 are turnably supported by shafts 86 and 96. Both the detecting arms 83 and 93 are changed in posture thereof between a first posture and a second posture. The detecting arm 83 is projected from a guide surface 48 side to the curved path 36, and the detecting arm 93 is projected from a guide surface 47 side to the curved path 36.
