PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book cover which is so constituted that reading can be made easily even in bathing, considering that a long-time hip bath is taking hold as one method of hygiene and there is a desire to enjoy reading by utilizing the time for bathing. SOLUTION: The parts near the right and left ends of the book cover are connected by a transparent and pliable sheet material. The book cover has the structure that the transparent sheet is in close contact with or in proximity to the surfaces of pages on the whole in the state that the book cover is opened, while the sheet is bent in the vicinity of the center and tucked in between the pages of the book or between the book and the book cover in the state that the cover is closed.
