<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus, capable of maintaining image quality by stabilizing the distribution of the charge amount of supplied toner, in a flare developing system excellent in dot reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 20 and the image forming apparatus 21, are characterized in that a two-component developer having magnetic particles and a nonmagnetic toner is supported on a developer carrier 12 incorporating a magnetic field generation means having a plurality of magnetic poles and is transported to a supply area opposite to a toner carrier, the magnetic brush of the developer is formed in the supply area, and a DC voltage is applied to the developer carrier 12, for supplying the toner to the toner carrier 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
