<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable polymer which improves a hard and brittle property that is a problem of polylactic acid, can be adapted to biological flexible tissues, and has flexibility, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a medical treatment material, such as a scaffolding material for regenerating flexible tissues, using the biodegradable polymer. <P>SOLUTION: This flexible biodegradable polymer is characterized by using a biodegradable copolymer comprising hydroxylic acid units and aspartic acid units as a main chain and having mesogenic group-containing side chains on the main chain, and a method for producing the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
