PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fitting room into a desirable lighting state. SOLUTION: A lighting device for fitting room 1 is installed together with a mirror 4 to reflect clothes 2 in a fitting room 3 where a person 20 enters to try on the clothes 2. A pair of surface light sources 5, 5 and a pair of point light sources 6, 6 installed on both sides in vertical direction of the mirror 4 illuminate the clothes 2 by a depth of shadow S=(L1-L2)/L1 of 0.76 or more and 0.78 or less which is obtained by a luminance L1 of the portion with no shadow and the luminance L2 of the portion of shadow of the clothes 2 at the position of 1.2 m height from the bottom of the fitting room 3.
