PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connection structure and connection method for a battery connecting in series two or more batteries by connecting counter electrode terminals made of different kind of metals between adjoined batteries. SOLUTION: In the connection method of the battery connecting in series the two or more batteries having a negative terminal made of copper or a copper alloy having high melting point and a positive terminal made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy having low melting point, the negative terminal and the positive terminal projecting in prescribed length from one end surface of the battery are bent in the opposite directions to form bent parts 4<SB>2</SB>, and 3<SB>2</SB>, and in the series connection portions, the bent part 3<SB>2</SB>of the negative terminal and a stiffening plate 5 made of a material having higher melting point than the positive terminal are brought into contact with the both surfaces of the bent part 4<SB>2</SB>of the positive terminal, and then the bent part 4<SB>2</SB>of the negative terminal, the bent part 3<SB>2</SB>of the positive terminal, and the stiffening plate 5 are resistance-welded.
