PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor in which field-weakening control is not required and the generation of heat caused by an eddy current can be prevented. SOLUTION: The electric motor 1 comprises a rotor 20 using a permanent magnet, a stator 30, a rotating shaft 40 interlocked with the rotor 20 to rotate and penetrating the housing 10, and a mechanism for displacing a relative positional relation of the stator 30 and the rotor 20 in the axial direction by the oil pressure of oil 70 dependent on the rotational speed of the rotor 20 and cooling the rotor 20 by the oil 70.
