PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the adjustment of the position of a slide box on the receiver side. SOLUTION: This rattling prevention device comprises a rattling prevention member pivotally supported on a door side lock box and engageable with the receiving surface of a door frame side receiver; a stopper having an engagement portion selectively engaged with and disengaged from either one of continuous portions to be engaged formed at the inner end of the rattling prevention member and pivotally supported inside the lock box, and a biasing means for always biasing the projecting outer end of the rattling prevention member in the direction that is brought into contact with the receiving surface of the receiver. The rattling prevention member is so formed that the position of the centerline O1 of the lock box is displaced from the position of the centerline O of the receiver, and when the projecting outer end is pressed by the receiving surface of the receiver and rotated horizontally, the position of the engagement portion of the stopper relative to the portion of the rattling prevention member to be engaged is automatically changed.
