PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt resistant bag filter having a good air permeability and an excellent capturing property of trapping fine particles contained in discharged gas, and capable of preventing the development of holes on its surface in the case of being exposed to a high temperature gas or the scattering of sparks, etc. SOLUTION: This melt resistant bag filter consisting of a cloth applied with a silicone-based emulsion on at least its one side surface is characterized by containing 1 to 9 pts.wt. silicone-based emulsion based on its solid portion, based on 100 pts.wt. cloth, and having 5 to 25 cm<SP>3</SP>/cm<SP>2</SP>×s air permeability measured by a method prescribed by the JIS L1096:1999 8.27.1 A method (flagyl form method).
