The system has a closable and openable gate unit and a switch unit (10), which co-operate with each other in such a manner that the switch unit is in a switched-on condition, when the gate unit is in a closed condition, and the switch unit is in a switched-off condition, when the gate unit is in an opened condition. A locking unit (12) co-operates with the switch unit and the gate unit in such a manner that the locking unit locks the gate unit, when the switch unit is in the switched-on condition. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for closing a housing with an internal safety gate and an external safety gate (2) a method for opening a housing with an internal safety gate and an external safety gate.
