PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To follow up an image processing history by determining the propriety of burying of additional information corrresponing to history information in response to a function of a transmission destination of image information. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises: an additional information registering part 42 for correlating received image information and history information of processing for the image information and registering them; an additional information generation part 41 for generating additional information corresponding to the registered history information; an additional information burying part 43 for burying generated additional information in the image information; an image processing part 3 for outputting the image information; a Fax control part 8 for registering, when the transmission destination apparatus of the image information outputs the received image information, history information of processing for the image information, judging whether or not the apparatus has a function of burying and outputting the additional information corresponding to the history information in the image information, and when the apparatus is judged to have no such function, burying the additional information in the image information with the burying means and transmitting the information to the transmission destination apparatus.
