PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply unit capable of attaining high response with respect to demands, such as specification changes or additions. SOLUTION: This device includes a PFC switching circuit which performs switching, in response to a control pulse, an output circuit which converts a switching output of the switch circuit into direct current, and a power supply platform constructed from a microcomputer. The power platform can perform a process for generating the control pulses from digital value of a DC output of the output circuit, and various modules can be optionally mounted, according to the specification requirements.
