PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a fluorosulfonyl group- and hydroxy group-bearing cyclic acetal compound, which corresponds to a dehydration reaction product of a fluorosulfonyl group-bearing vicinal diol with a hydroxy group-bearing carbonyl compound, as a product containing no acids in a high yield by a simple operation. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the fluorosulfonyl group- and hydroxy group-bearing cyclic acetal compound, which corresponds to a dehydration reaction product of a fluorosulfonyl group-bearing vicinal diol with a hydroxy group-bearing carbonyl compound, comprises a step for treating a crude cyclic acetal compound containing an acid with a base under a dehydrating condition.
